Q1: How is it built?
A1: Three layers. A walnut-stained wood disc goes against the ceiling, the travertine dish hangs from it, and an opal half globe sits inside the dish. Lit, the globe glows and the inside of the stone picks up a soft amber tone.
Q2: Warm or cool white?
A2: Warm white 3000K is the one most people choose for homes. It brings out the beige in the stone. Cool white 6000K is brighter and crisper, and makes sense in a utility room, a shop or anywhere you want a cleaner, whiter light.
Q3: Is 20cm big enough for a room?
A3: It's sized for small spaces: an entry, a stair landing, a hallway, a walk-in closet or a small bathroom away from the shower. For a bedroom or living room, look at the larger flush mounts in this collection.
Q4: Can I dim it?
A4: No. The LED driver is non-dimmable, so it simply turns on and off from your wall switch. Please don't wire it to a dimmer, as that can make the LED flicker or hum.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so you will want an electrician to fit it. The wiring takes AC 110-240V, which covers both US and European mains. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Q6: How do I keep the stone clean?
A6: Switch it off at the breaker first, then wipe the stone with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Skip bleach, solvents and scouring cream. The surface is sealed, but the open pores will hold onto anything harsh.
