Q1: What does the wood block do?
A1: It's the mount. The stone bar is fixed to the ceiling through a short wood block in the middle, which leaves a small shadow gap between the bar and the ceiling. It also hides the driver. You can pick walnut or a lighter natural wood.
Q2: Which length works best?
A2: 80cm and 100cm are the usual picks for hallways and walk-in closets. 120cm suits a kitchen run or a long corridor, and 150cm is for open-plan spaces or for lining up over a long island or table.
Q3: Where does the light come out?
A3: From a narrow opal strip along the bottom edge of the bar. It throws a long, even line of light straight down, which is why it works so well in narrow spaces where a round fixture would leave the ends dark.
Q4: Can I dim it?
A4: No. The LED driver is non-dimmable, so it simply turns on and off from your wall switch. Please don't wire it to a dimmer, as that can make the LED flicker or hum.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It's hardwired to one ceiling junction box at the centre, behind the wood block, so you only need a single power point however long the bar is. Have an electrician fit it. Indoor use only, IP20.
Q6: Can I install several in a row?
A6: Yes, and it looks good that way. Two or three bars of the same length running parallel down a corridor is a common layout. Each one needs its own junction box.
Q7: Can I place orders directly on masolighting.com?
