Q1: What's the shape exactly?
A1: A six-sided travertine frame with straight, flat faces, sitting on a round walnut disc. The opal dome sits a little way up inside the hexagon, so you see the light framed by stone rather than a bare lens.
Q2: Warm or cool white?
A2: Warm white 3000K for most homes, especially if the room has wood or beige tones. Cool white 6000K is the better choice for a laundry, garage, workshop or retail space where you want a crisp, white light.
Q3: Where does it work best?
A3: Narrow spaces where you'd normally put a small round light: hallways, galley kitchens, walk-in closets and entries. It also looks good in a row of two or three down a corridor.
Q4: Can I dim it?
A4: No. The LED driver is non-dimmable, so it simply turns on and off from your wall switch. Please don't wire it to a dimmer, as that can make the LED flicker or hum.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so you will want an electrician to fit it. The wiring takes AC 110-240V, which covers both US and European mains. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Q6: How do I keep the stone clean?
A6: Switch it off at the breaker first, then wipe the stone with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Skip bleach, solvents and scouring cream. The surface is sealed, but the open pores will hold onto anything harsh.
