Q1: What does it look like on the ceiling?
A1: Like a ball held in a stone collar. The rounded travertine ring sits against the ceiling and the opal glass globe drops just below it. Switched off it's a quiet little detail; lit, it's an even, glowing sphere.
Q2: What bulb does it take?
A2: One E26 or E27 bulb up to 40W, not included. Because the glass is opal, any standard LED bulb looks good. Around 6-9W at 2700-3000K gives a warm light that's bright enough for a hallway.
Q3: Is the globe glass or acrylic?
A3: Glass. It's opal white glass, so it diffuses the bulb fully and won't yellow over time. It unscrews from the fitting for bulb changes and cleaning.
Q4: How many should I use in a hallway?
A4: For a typical corridor, space them about 1.5 to 2 metres apart. In a short entry one is enough. They look best in a straight line down the centre.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so you will want an electrician to fit it. The wiring takes AC 110-240V, which covers both US and European mains. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Q6: Is it dimmable?
A6: It's supplied as an on/off fixture for your wall switch. If you want to dim it, you'd need a dimmable E26/E27 bulb and a compatible wall dimmer, so check with our sales team before ordering.
