Q1: How is it built?
A1: A walnut-stained wood disc goes against the ceiling and the travertine cone hangs straight down from it. The opal glass ball sits in the wide end, half inside the stone, so you see a warm glow on the inside of the cone and a soft sphere below it.
Q2: What bulb does it take?
A2: One G9 capsule bulb up to 40W, not included. A 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K is plenty for a hallway or closet. The glass ball hides the bulb completely, so any standard G9 will look the same from below.
Q3: How many should I use in a hallway?
A3: For a typical corridor, space them about 1.5 to 2 metres apart in a straight line. In a short entry or above a small table, one is usually enough.
Q4: Is it dimmable?
A4: It's supplied as an on/off fixture for your wall switch. If you want to dim it, you'd need a dimmable bulb and a compatible wall dimmer, so check with our sales team before you order.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so you will want an electrician to fit it. The wiring takes AC 110-240V, which covers both US and European mains. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Q6: How do I keep the stone clean?
A6: Switch it off at the breaker first, then wipe the stone with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Skip bleach, solvents and scouring cream. The surface is sealed, but the open pores will hold onto anything harsh.
