Q1: Is it bright enough for a bedroom?
A1: Yes. At 48cm it's a good size for a standard double bedroom or a study, and the opal panel spreads the 3000K light evenly across the room. In a large living room you'd normally add lamps as well.
Q2: How thick is the stone frame?
A2: The rim is a rounded band of travertine a few centimetres wide, and the whole fixture is just 5.5cm deep. From below, you mostly see the glowing panel with a warm stone edge around it.
Q3: Is it OK for a low ceiling?
A3: Yes. At 5.5cm deep it sits almost flat against the ceiling, so it's a good choice for rooms where a pendant or semi flush mount would hang too low.
Q4: Can I dim it?
A4: No. The LED driver is non-dimmable, so it simply turns on and off from your wall switch. Please don't wire it to a dimmer, as that can make the LED flicker or hum.
Q5: How is it installed?
A5: It is hardwired to a standard ceiling junction box, so you will want an electrician to fit it. The wiring takes AC 110-240V, which covers both US and European mains. It is rated IP20, so keep it to dry indoor rooms.
Q6: How do I keep it clean?
A6: Switch it off at the breaker first, then wipe the stone with a dry or barely damp soft cloth. Skip bleach, solvents and scouring cream. The surface is sealed, but the open pores will hold onto anything harsh.
