Q1: How is the column built up?
A1: Three alabaster spheres are threaded on a central spine, separated by two polished brass collars that are slightly narrower than the spheres, and the whole stack sits on a solid brass drum. The collars are what keep the column from reading as a simple string of beads — they give the eye a rhythm up the height.
Q2: Is the LED replaceable?
A2: No. On this model the LED is fully built into the fixture and cannot be changed, which is what allows the spheres to be closed forms with no socket openings. It is rated Max 40W at 3000K warm white with CRI over 80 and a life of around 50,000 hours, so in normal domestic or hotel use it will outlast the room.
Q3: How much light does it actually give?
A3: Enough to light a bedside or a console, not enough to read a book by at arm's length. The output is spread over three separate glowing spheres rather than concentrated in one source, so it reads as a lit sculpture. If you need reading light in the same position, pair it with a wall or ceiling fitting.
Q4: Can it be dimmed?
A4: Yes, if you specify it. The lamp is produced either with a plain push-button switch or with a dimmer switch and a matching dimmable driver, and you choose which at order time. Because the LED is integral, the dimming has to be built in at the factory — it cannot be added by putting the lamp on a dimmer later.
Q5: What plug is supplied?
A5: US, UK, AU or EU, confirmed when the order is placed. The cord set is produced to the standard of the destination country, so the lamp works straight out of the box. The driver accepts AC 110-240V, which means one specification covers both 120V and 230V markets.
Q6: Will the three spheres match each other?
A6: They are selected to sit together, but they will not be identical. Each sphere is worked separately, so the markings run differently through each one — which is what stops the stack looking moulded. If a project needs several lamps to look consistent with one another, tell us and we will build them from one run.
