Q1: Why is the top of the cap dished?
A1: The crown is turned with a shallow saucer-like depression instead of being left as a plain dome. It thins the material at the very top, so a little light escapes upwards and the cap does not read as a solid lid, and it gives the profile a soft double curve when the lamp is seen from the side.
Q2: Where is the brass on this lamp?
A2: Inside. The lamp holder, the internal spine and the fixings are brass, but nothing of the metalwork is left on show — what you see is alabaster cap and alabaster column with a clean shadow line between them. That is deliberate on this design; several others in the range put the metal on the outside.
Q3: What bulb does it take?
A3: One E26 or E27 screw socket rated Max 60W, bulbs not supplied. A 6-9W warm LED at 2700-3000K works well. The socket sits up under the cap so the lamp is invisible from any normal angle, and the light reaches you as a downward wash off the inner face of the dome plus a glow through the column.
Q4: Can I order it with a dimmer?
A4: Yes. The switch is chosen at order time — a plain push-button or a dimmer switch, at no difference in price. If you take the dimmer, fit dimmable E26/E27 bulbs to match. This particular lamp changes character noticeably when dimmed, going from a working bedside light to a low ambient glow.

A5: Whichever suits your market: US, UK, AU or EU, confirmed at the time of order. The cord set is produced to the standard of the destination country, so the lamp is ready to use on arrival. The wiring is rated AC 110-240V and needs no transformer in either a 120V or a 230V territory.

A6: Yes. The column is thick-walled and the mass of the base is set low, so the centre of gravity stays well under the cap even though it overhangs at Dia 30cm. It should still be carried by the column rather than the cap, and it wants a level surface with no cloth runner underneath it.
