Q1: Is it really just a cube?

A1: Yes, and that is the whole idea. Six flat faces, square edges, nothing mounted on any of them — no switch plate, no socket ring, no base trim. Switched off it looks like a solid block left on the table. Switched on, the light comes from inside and the markings in the material appear as soft clouds under the surface.

 

Q2: Which sizes are available?

A2: 20 x 20 x H 20cm and 30 x 30 x H 30cm. The small one is a nightstand or shelf object; the large one has enough presence to sit on the floor beside a sofa or at the foot of a bed, and is often specified in pairs for a lobby. Both are supplied ready to plug in.

 

Q3: Do I need to buy a bulb?

A3: No. The light source is an integrated LED module built into the cube at 3000K warm white with CRI over 80, rated up to Max 60W. There is no lamp to change and no socket to reach, which is part of why the outside can be left completely clean. Rated life is around 50,000 hours.

 

Q4: Where is the switch if the faces are blank?

A4: On the cord. The lamp is built to order with either a plain push-button switch or a dimmer switch on the lead, so the cube itself stays undisturbed. If you want to be able to soften the output, ask for the dimmer build and we will fit a dimmable driver to match it at the same time.

 

Q5: What plug will it have?

A5: US, UK, AU or EU, built to the standard of the country the order is going to — just confirm the market with your order. The driver is rated AC 110-240V, so the identical cube can be supplied into a 120V and a 230V market without any change to the fitting itself.

 

Q6: Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?

A6: No. It is rated IP20, which is dry indoor use only. A covered terrace still counts as outdoors for this purpose, and a bathroom shelf is only acceptable well away from the shower zone and any splashing. Damp will get into the material over time and the change is not reversible.
