Q1: What exactly is this piece?
A1: A thick travertine vessel, hollowed out and closed at the rounded end, which lies on its side with the open mouth angled upward. The bulb sits inside the hollow, out of sight, and the stone does the rest: switched off it reads as a plain tipped pebble on the shelf.
Q2: What does the light do?
A2: It leaves through the mouth only, so you get a clean arc of warm light washing up the wall behind and above the lamp, and almost nothing spilling forward. Stood a hand's width from a pale wall it draws a soft half-circle; stood further back the arc widens and softens.
Q3: What bulb does it take?
A3: One E26 or E27 screw socket rated max 40W, bulbs not supplied. A compact 6-9W LED at 2700-3000K works best — it needs to sit inside the cavity, so avoid long filament or oversized decorative bulbs that would stand proud of the mouth.
