Q1: How is this lamp built?
A1: A dome-topped stone cylinder stands on the table and a slim metal tube is clamped to its back with two visible screws, rising into a tall arch that reaches out over the desk. A wide, shallow cone shade hangs from the end of that arch, well clear of the base, which is what gives the lamp its long, light reach.
Q2: Can the shade be angled?
A2: Yes. The cone pivots on the fitting at the end of the arch, so you can tilt it down over a book, level for a wider wash, or back towards the wall. Set the angle with the lamp switched off and cool, and move the shade by its rim rather than by the arm.
Q3: Which finishes can I order?
A3: Two. Black is a polished black stone base with pale veining and matt black metalwork; Beige is a travertine base with cream metalwork. Both are the same lamp and the same price, and both are shown in the photography — pick the one that suits the room.
Q4: What bulb does it take?
A4: One E14 small screw socket rated max 40W, bulbs not supplied. A 4-6W E14 LED at 2700-3000K is the usual choice. The socket is recessed inside the cone and the inside face of the shade is pale, so the light that reaches the desk is soft and even rather than a hard spot.
Q5: Push-button or dimmer, and which plug?
A5: Both are set at the time of order: a plain push-button switch or a dimmer switch (pair the dimmer with dimmable E14 bulbs), and a US, UK, AU or EU cord set produced to the standard of the destination country. The lamp is rated AC 110-240V, so the same unit ships to 120V and 230V markets with only the plug differing.
Q6: How much desk space does it need?
A6: Allow about 34cm of depth for the reach of the shade and 50cm of height. The base itself is small, so the lamp takes very little of the desk surface — most of what it occupies is air under the arch, which is why it suits a narrow console or a crowded work surface.
