A1: A long rounded-rectangle shade built from narrow vertical alabaster plates set at alternating heights, so the top and bottom edges step up and down like piano keys or a picket line. Each plate is pinned with a tiny brass rivet. Above it sits a slim brass bar canopy carrying two rigid downrods, which holds the fixture dead level over a long table.

A2: One size: L 98cm × W 18cm × H 104cm overall. The lit shade itself is about 26cm tall and the rest is rod drop, which can be shortened on site — the rods are telescopic. The 98cm length suits an island or dining table of 160-220cm; for anything longer we would suggest running two units in line.

A3: Two reasons. Visually, the uneven silhouette breaks up what would otherwise be a plain box and gives the fixture a hand-built rhythm. Optically, the gaps between overlapping plates let thin slivers of light escape sideways, so the shade glows unevenly and looks alive rather than like a backlit panel.

A4: G9 sockets are mounted along the internal spine, firing outward through the alabaster. Bulbs are not included — use G9 LED at 3-5W and 2700-3000K warm white, with total load capped at Max 160W. All sockets sit above the lower edge of the shade so nothing is visible from a standing position.
