Q1: How is the disc joined to the sphere?
A1: The flat gold disc passes straight through the alabaster sphere and is fixed inside it, so the two read as one object rather than a shade sitting on a tray. The disc is set at a slight tilt, which is what gives the piece its planet-and-ring silhouette and stops it looking symmetrical from any single viewpoint.
Q2: What are the two sizes?
A2: Dia 24cm and Dia 30cm, both Gold+White and both quoted at H 30cm overall including the brass stem above the sphere. The measurement is the width of the gold disc; the alabaster sphere itself stays at roughly Dia 12cm on both, so the larger version simply carries a wider brim.
Q3: Where does the light go?
A3: Mostly down and sideways. The disc acts as a reflector, bouncing warm light back off its polished upper face while the alabaster sphere glows softly in the middle. Over a nightstand it gives a pool of light on the surface without throwing glare across the bed.
Q4: What bulb does it take?
A4: One G9 socket, bulbs not included, rated Max 60W. We recommend a 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K. The socket sits up inside the sphere, so nothing of the lamp is visible from normal viewing angles — you see the stone glowing and the gold brim, not a filament.
Q5: Can it be dimmed?
A5: Yes, provided you fit dimmable G9 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible wall dimmer. Because the source is a standard replaceable lamp rather than a sealed driver, you keep full control over both the colour temperature and the dimming behaviour by choosing the bulb that suits the room.
Q6: Can I hang several together?
A6: Yes, and it is the usual way this design is specified — a pair either side of a bed, or a row of three to five over an island at staggered drops. Each pendant ships with its own canopy and cord, so order one unit per drop; the cord is cut to length on site by the electrician.
