Q1: How simple is this fitting really?
A1: As simple as it gets: a solid alabaster sphere, a brushed brass cap where the cord enters the top, and a matching canopy at the ceiling. No frame, no collar around the middle, no visible screws. Because there is nothing to date it, it sits as comfortably in a period room as in a new-build interior.
Q2: Which size should I choose?
A2: Dia 10cm, 12cm or 15cm, all White Alabaster with brass. The 10cm is a jewel-like accent and works best in multiples; 12cm is the general-purpose size for a nightstand or a stairwell; 15cm is the one to use when a single pendant has to hold a space on its own, such as over a small island.
Q3: Can I mix sizes in one cluster?
A3: Yes — mixing all three at staggered drops is the arrangement this piece is designed for, and it looks far better than a level row of identical spheres. Each pendant ships with its own cord and canopy, so order one unit per drop and set the heights on site.
Q4: What bulb does it take?
A4: One G4 capsule per sphere, bulbs not included. Fit a 2-3W G4 LED at 2700-3000K; the fitting is rated to Max 60W but a small capsule is what suits it. G4 is used here rather than a larger base precisely because the lamp has to disappear inside a 10cm sphere without creating a hot spot.
Q5: Is it dimmable?
A5: Yes, with dimmable G4 LED capsules on a compatible wall dimmer. G4 LEDs vary a lot between brands, so buy all the capsules for one cluster from a single make and batch — that is the most reliable way to get a group of spheres to dim together evenly and to match in colour.
Q6: Is each sphere identical?
A6: In form and finish yes, in figuring no. The banding runs differently through every sphere because each is cut from a different part of the batch, and on a curved surface that variation is easy to see. Tell us if a cluster should be selected from one run and we will match them as closely as we can.
