Q1: How are the twelve globes positioned?
A1: Short brushed brass cylinder sockets are welded to the ring at an angle and alternate direction as they go round — one tilts outward and up, the next inward and down. Each carries an alabaster globe, so the twelve spheres sit at slightly different heights and radii and the ring never reads as a flat circle of identical lamps.
Q2: What sizes can I order?
A2: Two: Dia 70cm and Dia 85cm, both with twelve heads and both at H 120cm overall including the cable suspension. Dia 70cm suits a round dining table of 110-140cm or a bedroom; Dia 85cm suits a larger dining table or a lounge seating group. The cables can be shortened on site for a lower ceiling.
Q3: What bulbs are needed?
A3: Twelve G9 sockets, bulbs not included, Max 60W in total across the fixture. We recommend 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K warm white. Each bulb sits fully inside its alabaster globe, so there is no glare and no visible filament — only the sphere glowing with the soft internal shading showing through.
Q4: Is the brass ring solid?
A4: It is a slim solid metal ring of roughly 3cm section with a brushed gold brass finish and a clear protective lacquer. The sockets are welded rather than clipped, so nothing works loose over time. Clean with a dry soft cloth only — metal polish and solvents will strip the lacquer.
Q5: Can the ring be levelled?
A5: Yes. It hangs on three fine cables from the round brass canopy and each cable adjusts independently, so the ring can be trimmed perfectly level even where the ceiling is slightly uneven. The transparent supply cable runs down the centre and stays almost invisible against a pale ceiling.
Q6: How is it installed and shipped?
A6: Hardwired to a ceiling junction box through the brass canopy — an electrician job of about 45 minutes. The ring with its sockets and cable set ships as one assembly in a moulded foam bed, and the twelve alabaster globes are packed individually in a second layer; they screw on after the ring is hung and levelled.
