Q1: What kind of light is this?
A1: It is a lit garland rather than a conventional pendant. Round alabaster beads are threaded in a continuous strand and the strand is fixed at both ends to small brass ceiling mounts, so it hangs in a relaxed catenary curve between the two points. Lit, it reads as a string of warm amber pearls floating across the ceiling.
Q2: What lengths are available and how do I choose?
A2: Four strand lengths: 100cm, 200cm, 300cm and 400cm. Choose by the distance between your two mounting points plus the depth of sag you want — as a rule, the strand should be about 25-35% longer than the straight-line span. A 300cm strand across a 220cm span gives a generous, graceful droop; the same strand across a 280cm span reads much tighter.
Q3: Can I mount it in more than one curve?
A3: Yes. The strand can be run wall-to-wall, ceiling-to-ceiling, or looped over several mounts to create two or three linked swags down a stairwell or corridor. Additional brass mounts can be supplied on request. This is why the longer 300cm and 400cm strands are the most popular in double-height voids.
Q4: Is the LED replaceable?
A4: The strand uses an integrated warm-white LED at 3000K running the full length, rated 50,000 hours — roughly 15 years at 3 hours a day — so there is nothing to change in normal use. There is no bulb to buy and no visible socket. If the module ever fails inside the warranty period we replace the strand.
Q5: Which spaces suit it best?
A5: Stairwells and double-height voids where it can be seen from several levels, long hallways, gallery walls, hotel lobbies and restaurant feature walls. Because the strand is light and shallow it also works where a bulky chandelier would crowd the space — above a landing, along a corridor ceiling, or across a bar back.
Q6: How is it installed?
A6: Two brass mounts are fixed to the ceiling or wall and hardwired at one end; the strand clips into both. Position the mounts first, offer the strand up, then adjust the sag before final tightening. Allow an electrician about an hour. Beads are packed in a fitted foam channel so the strand arrives already threaded and ready to hang.
