Q1: How is the lantern held in the frame?
A1: The brass frame is a single flat bar bent into a tall arch at the top and closed with a straight cross member at the bottom. The alabaster cylinder — flat-topped with a softly domed base — is pinned between the two sides and sits clear of the frame on every face, so the brass reads as an outline drawn around the stone.
Q2: What is the difference between the single and the cluster?
A2: The single is one lantern of Dia 13cm x H 43cm on its own cord and canopy. The two cluster sets group several of the same lanterns on one shared ceiling plate of Dia 30cm or Dia 60cm, hung at staggered heights within a 150cm overall drop. Tell us your ceiling height and we will confirm the drop pattern before production.
Q3: Can I build my own arrangement from singles?
A3: Yes, and over a long island that is usually the better answer. Each single ships with its own canopy and cord, so a row of three to five spaced 60-80cm apart gives you full control of the spacing. Choose a cluster set instead when you want one ceiling penetration rather than several.
Q4: What bulbs does it take?
A4: One G9 socket per lantern, bulbs not included, with the fitting rated Max 60W in total. We recommend 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K. The lamp sits inside the alabaster cylinder and the domed base closes underneath it, so there is no direct view of the source from standing or seated height.
Q5: Is it dimmable?
A5: Yes, with dimmable G9 LED bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer. On the cluster versions, keep every lantern on the same bulb type and wattage — mixing brands across one circuit is the most common reason a cluster dims unevenly or one lantern flickers at the bottom of the range.
Q6: How do I clean the brass?
A6: Dry soft cloth only. The frame is brushed brass under a clear protective lacquer, and metal polish or solvent will cut through that lacquer and leave the brass to tarnish in patches. The alabaster is wiped the same way; keep water out of the cross member joint at the base of the frame.
