Q1: What is it made of?
A1: The lit body is a single flat alabaster ring — a torus with an open centre — held by three slim matt black metal brackets that clamp it at the rim. From those brackets rise three wide black leather straps that gather into a small black hub at the ceiling. The leather is the signature detail; there is no visible cable or chain.
Q2: What sizes are available?
A2: Three: Dia 60cm × H 50cm, Dia 80cm × H 60cm and Dia 100cm × H 60cm, all in Black+White with warm light. The stated height includes the strap suspension, so the ring itself sits about 40-45cm below the ceiling as shipped. Straps can be shortened during installation if you need it to hang tighter.
Q3: Do I need to fit bulbs?
A3: No. An LED module is built into the ring and it is rated Max 40W, fixed at 3000K warm white with CRI above 80 and a 50,000 hour rated life. The whole torus lights evenly, top and bottom, so it also washes the ceiling rather than only lighting the table underneath it.
Q4: Can it be dimmed?
A4: Not as standard — the default driver is non-dimming and wires to an ordinary wall switch. A 0-10V or TRIAC dimmable driver can be fitted at the factory if you specify it with the order. Because the driver sits inside the ceiling hub, changing it afterwards means taking the fixture down, so it is worth deciding up front.
Q5: How do I look after the leather straps?
A5: Wipe them with a dry or barely damp soft cloth only — no solvent, no leather polish and no oil, because those can darken the finish unevenly. The straps carry the full weight of the ring, so they are cut from thick hide and stitched at the bracket; they are not user-adjustable after the ends are trimmed.
