Q1: What makes this ring different from a metal halo?

A1: The ring itself is alabaster, not a metal channel with a diffuser clipped into it. The section is a full rounded bar of roughly 6cm, lit from inside, so the whole torus glows with the grey and amber veining visible through it. Switched off it still reads as a pale stone circle rather than a blank white tube.

 

Q2: How is it suspended?

A2: On fine black cables that finish in small hook clips passing under the ring, dropping from a round matt black canopy. The clips are deliberately visible — they are the only hardware on the piece. Each cable adjusts independently up to about 150cm, so the ring can be trimmed dead level and set at any height.

 

Q3: What is the difference between the H 20cm and H 6cm versions?

A3: H 6cm is the ring on its own — the depth of the alabaster section. The H 20cm, 25cm and 30cm figures are the taller-profile builds, where the ring is quoted with additional assembly depth. If you are working to a tight ceiling reveal, tell us the exact clearance you have and we will confirm which build fits.

 

Q4: How does the three-ring version work?

A4: The Dia 50cm, 80cm and 100cm rings hang from one canopy at three different heights and offset from one another, so they overlap when seen from the side and nest when seen from below. It is intended for a stairwell, a void or a double-height living room where the composition is read from several levels.

 

Q5: Do I need to fit bulbs?

A5: No. The LED is integrated inside the ring at 3000K warm white with CRI over 80, rated Max 40W in total, and it is supplied with a dimmable driver for use with a compatible wall dimmer. There is no lamp to replace, which is the practical reason this style is specified over stairwells.

 

Q6: Which size suits my room?

A6: Dia 50cm suits a small round table, a hallway or a bedside void; Dia 80cm suits a table for six to eight or a standard living room; Dia 100cm suits a large table or an open plan space. Over a table, hang the base roughly 75-85cm above the top; in a stairwell, set the lowest ring above head height on the landing.
