Q1: What are the different layouts?
A1: The 7, 9 and 12 head versions use a round gold canopy and drop the cubes in a loose spiral, like a staircase turning as it falls. The 18, 25 and 36 head versions use a square gold canopy: 18 and 25 stack the cubes into a tiered, pyramid-like block, while the two 36 head options give either a long diagonal cascade for a stairwell or a layered square mass for a high ceiling.
Q2: What is the difference between 36 Heads A and 36 Heads B?
A2: Both use the same 36 cubes and the same L78 × W72cm square canopy at a 200cm drop. Version A arranges them as a long diagonal cascade that reads best when seen from the side, for example alongside a staircase. Version B groups them into stacked square tiers that read best from directly below, for example over a lounge or a stair void.
Q3: How long is the drop and can it be changed?
A3: All variants ship at 200cm overall. Every cube hangs on its own fine steel cable and each cable is adjusted independently at the canopy, so you can set both the overall drop and the individual cube heights on site. That is how the spiral and cascade patterns are formed — the shape is set by the installer, not fixed in the factory.
Q4: What bulbs does it take?
A4: One G9 socket inside each cube, bulbs not included, roughly 5W per head. Use 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K warm white. Even the 36 head versions draw well under 200W in practice. The socket is fully enclosed in the cube, so nothing is visible from any angle except the cube glowing with its faint internal veining.
Q5: Which ceiling height do I need?
A5: The 200cm drop is designed for double-height spaces — stairwells, entry voids and open lounges with a ceiling of 4m or more. On a normal 2.8-3m ceiling the cables must be shortened substantially, which compresses the cascade; in that case the 7, 9 or 12 head round versions are the better starting point.
Q6: How is it packed and installed?
A6: Hardwired to a ceiling junction box through the gold canopy. The canopy and cable harness ship pre-wired in one foam bed and the alabaster cubes travel individually wrapped in separate layers. On site the canopy is fixed first, then each cube is fitted and its cable trimmed to the marked height, so allow a full session and scaffolding or a tower for the tall versions.
