Q1: What does the bamboo profile mean in practice?
A1: The tube is turned with shallow grooves at regular intervals along its length, so it reads as a series of joined segments rather than one plain cylinder. Lit, the grooves catch a little shadow and give the bar a rhythm; unlit, they stop a 120cm run of pale stone from looking like a blank pipe.
Q2: Are there metal collars along the tube?
A2: No, and that is the point of this design. Nothing interrupts the stone between the two ends — the suspension cables enter discreetly and the only metal on show is the small brass ceiling canopy. Both ends of the tube are left open, so the light escapes sideways as well as through the wall of the stone.
Q3: Which lengths can I order?
A3: L 100cm and L 120cm, both at Dia 10cm and both in plain White Alabaster — there is no alternative metal finish on this model, since the fitting is deliberately almost all stone. Choose the length by the table: 100cm suits 140-180cm, 120cm suits 180-220cm.
Q4: Do I need bulbs?
A4: No. An LED strip runs the whole internal length of the tube, 3000K warm white with CRI over 80 and rated Max 60W, giving one unbroken line of light with no visible lamps and no dark gaps. Rated for around 50,000 hours, so there is nothing to relamp in normal use.
Q5: Is it dimmable?
A5: Not as standard — it is supplied for a plain wall switch. A 0-10V or TRIAC dimmable driver can be built in at the factory if you specify the protocol at order stage. Over a dining table dimming is usually worth having, and it is far cheaper to fit now than to change later.
Q6: How is it hung?
A6: Two fine cables drop from the brass canopy and are adjusted independently at the ceiling, up to about 150cm, so the bar can be trimmed dead level and set at the height you want — normally 75-85cm above the tabletop. It hardwires to a junction box, so allow for an electrician on site.
