Q1: Why a cube rather than a shade?
A1: Because the flat faces read as architecture instead of decoration. There is no trim, no collar around the body and no visible fixing — just a 12cm block of alabaster with a small brass cap where the cord enters. Unlit it looks like a solid stone object; lit, the faces come up evenly and the edges stay crisp.
Q2: What are the dimensions and the weight?
A2: A 12 x 12cm cube weighing about 1.5kg, in White Alabaster with polished gold hardware. One size only. It is small enough to use in a row without crowding a ceiling, which is how it is normally specified — three or five over an island, or a staggered group down a stairwell.
Q3: How is the light distributed?
A3: The base is open, so a defined square of light lands on the surface below while all four faces glow at a lower level. The top is closed, so there is no uplight. In a stairwell that combination is useful: you get the treads properly lit without a bright halo on the ceiling above.
Q4: What bulb does it use?
A4: One G9 socket, bulbs not included, rated Max 40W. A 3-5W G9 LED at 2700-3000K suits it. The lamp sits high inside the cube, so from a normal standing position you see glowing stone rather than the source — but choose a compact LED capsule rather than a long one so it stays hidden.
Q5: Can I dim it?
A5: Yes, with dimmable G9 LED bulbs on a compatible wall dimmer. If you are hanging several cubes on one circuit, use the same bulb make and wattage throughout — mixing brands is the usual reason a group dims unevenly or one unit flickers at the bottom of the range.
Q6: How do I hang a group of them?
A6: Each cube ships with its own cord and canopy, so order one unit per drop and have the electrician cut the cords to the heights you want. Over an island, space them 45-60cm apart with the base 75-85cm above the worktop; in a stairwell, stagger the drops instead of levelling them.
